In the wee hours of this morning, I had the extraordinary experience of watching the birth of Baby Jordyn and along with her, the birth of a new and very brave mama. After racing to the hospital around midnight, we soon realized that Jordyn was going to be the one to decide when she would be coming; and as wonders never cease, she chose to be born at one of the only times her Daddy could have listened in on the delivery, via a satellite phone from Afghanistan. Had she come any sooner or much later for that matter, her Daddy wouldn’t have been able to hear that beautiful first cry.  I was honored to take on the roll of photographer and welcomer to the world. This was a great first solo assignment and I thank Hannah and Tim for the opportunity. :0)
